MultiPlus 2000VA – The 32A-Class Core of Mid-Sized Power Systems,PMP122200000

About this product
The MultiPlus 2000VA sits at a distinct point in the Victron inverter/charger range. It offers noticeably more continuous output and a larger AC transfer switch than the entry models, yet remains compact enough for mid-sized RVs, boats, and small off-grid cabins. For users who do not want to compromise on power infrastructure but also do not need the footprint or cost of a flagship unit, this is the model that fits the gap.
The 32A Transfer Switch – Where the Real Difference Begins
Look across the MultiPlus line and you will notice a clear dividing line. Models up to 1600VA use a 16A AC transfer switch. The 2000VA jumps to 32A. That matters in practice. When connected to a 30A or 32A shore supply, the 2000VA can pass the full input current through to the loads without artificially limiting input current to stay within the switch rating. For mid-sized RVs and vessels using 30A-plus shore systems, this is a hard advantage: you do not have to reduce charging power or shed loads simply because the transfer switch cannot keep up.
80A Charging on 12V – Fast Recovery When It Counts
The 12V version of the MultiPlus 2000VA delivers 80A of charging current. Within the MultiPlus family, that places it in the upper tier; only the 3000VA and 5000VA models exceed it. For systems with 200Ah to 400Ah lithium banks, this means faster recovery during a generator run window or an overnight shore connection. User feedback points to the same conclusion: fast charging and seamless transfer between shore and battery are among the most frequently cited strengths of this mode
PowerAssist – Getting the Most from a Limited Shore Supply
The PowerAssist logic in the 2000VA is straightforward. When the shore or generator current approaches its limit, the unit draws from the battery to support the load rather than tripping the breaker. Once the peak passes, it recharges the battery. For RV users who regularly stop at 30A campsites, the inrush current from an air conditioner starting is a common cause of nuisance trips. The 2000VA’s PowerAssist can absorb that surge without requiring any change to the campsite infrastructure.
UPS-Grade Transfer and High Start-Up Capability
When shore or generator power fails, the inverter takes over the connected loads in less than 20 milliseconds. Computers, routers, navigation electronics, and other sensitive equipment continue to run without interruption. The 2000VA also provides high start-up power for demanding loads such as LED or halogen lighting converters, electric tools, and compressor-driven appliances.
Adaptive Four-Stage Charging and Battery Care
Charging follows an adaptive four-stage profile: bulk, absorption, float, and storage. Absorption time is shortened after shallow discharges to avoid overcharging, and extended after deep discharges to bring the battery back to full. A supplied temperature sensor reduces charging voltage as battery temperature rises. BatterySafe mode limits the rate of voltage increase once the gassing voltage is reached, and Storage mode lowers float voltage after 24 hours without discharge to reduce gassing and corrosion. A 1A starter-battery output is available on the 12V and 24V models.
Scalable Parallel and Multi-Phase Operation
Up to four MultiPlus 2000VA units can be connected in parallel to increase total output capacity. The system also supports three-phase or split-phase configurations, providing flexibility for larger or more complex installations. This allows a single 2000VA unit to serve as the starting point for a system that can grow as power demands increase.
Remote Monitoring and Centralised Management
By connecting a GX-series device such as the Cerbo GX, users can monitor and control the MultiPlus and its associated system locally over LAN or remotely via the internet. The free VRM app and VRM web portal provide access from smartphones, tablets, laptops, or desktop computers. Real-time data, parameter adjustments, and automatic start/stop conditions for a backup generator are all available remotely.
Battery Compatibility and Smart Management
The MultiPlus 2000VA is compatible with LiFePO4 lithium batteries as well as traditional battery technologies. An internal battery temperature sensor is included, and the programmable relay can be configured for general alarm, DC under-voltage, or generator start/stop. The VE.Bus communication port supports parallel and three-phase operation, remote monitoring, and integration with lithium battery BMS systems.
Comprehensive Protection
The unit incorporates full protection against output short circuits, overload, battery over-voltage, battery under-voltage, over-temperature, AC on inverter output, and excessive input voltage ripple.

Tailored System Solution – Wysher × Victron Energy for Mid-Tier Mobile and Off-Grid Systems
The MultiPlus 2000VA is not intended for every installation. It is the right choice when a system has outgrown the entry-level models but does not yet require the capacity or cost of a 3000VA or 5000VA unit. Typical applications include:
Mid-sized RVs, fifth-wheel trailers, and expedition vehicles running 12V or 24V lithium systems with both shore and generator charging, where the 32A transfer switch and 80A charging current provide a meaningful step up in capability.
Boats and small yachts that need reliable UPS-grade transfer for navigation and communication equipment, plus enough charging current to recover a 200Ah–400Ah bank during limited shore or generator windows.
Off-grid cabins and remote backup systems where a 2000VA inverter/charger pairs with MPPT solar controllers and a moderate battery bank, with the option to parallel additional units as loads grow.
Mobile workshops and specialty vehicles where a single compact unit must handle shore charging, inverter supply, and high-speed transfer without occupying excessive space.
Based on the Victron Energy architecture, Wysher integrates MultiPlus inverter/chargers with LiFePO4 battery banks, MPPT solar charge controllers, and GX monitoring devices to deliver a complete, intelligent energy solution for mid-tier mobile and off-grid applications. Through careful system engineering, we ensure:
✓ Seamless automatic switchover between shore and battery power, leveraging the MultiPlus 2000VA’s UPS-grade transfer
✓ Dynamic load sharing via PowerAssist to prevent inlet breaker trips on weak or limited shore supplies
✓ Optimised battery charging with adaptive four-stage profiles and temperature compensation
✓ Scalability from a single 2000VA unit to parallel or three-phase configurations as needs grow
✓ Full remote visibility and control via VRM, enabling proactive management and generator auto-start
