Quattro-II 2x120V - Dual-Input Inverter/Charger for 50A North American RVs and Split-Phase Systems,QUA122305130

About this product
The Quattro-II 2x120V integrates a pure sine wave inverter, a sophisticated battery charger, and an automatic AC transfer switch into a single compact enclosure. It is purpose-built for 50A 120/240V Split-Phase installations common in North American recreational vehicles, large fifth-wheel trailers, and off-grid or backup power systems that require simultaneous connection to both shore power and a generator.
PowerAssist - Intelligent Load Support
When the input AC source - whether a generator or shore connection - approaches its current limit, the Quattro-II first reduces its charger output to free up capacity. If the load continues to rise, the unit supplements the incoming power by inverting battery DC to AC, providing a temporary boost to handle peak demands. Once the high-power period subsides, the charger automatically resumes full charging to replenish the battery.
PowerControl - Active Input Current Management
The user can set a maximum input current limit for the AC source. The Quattro-II dynamically allocates charging power and load consumption within this ceiling - when the load increases, charging current is reduced; when the load drops, charging power is restored. This ensures that the total current never exceeds the set value. Together with PowerAssist, this feature acts as a real-time energy dispatcher for the entire system.
Dual AC Inputs - Automatic Transfer Between Shore and Generator, No Manual Intervention
The Quattro-II is equipped with two independent AC inputs (AC-in-1 and AC-in-2), allowing simultaneous connection to both shore power and a generator. The priority of each input is fully configurable via software. When the primary input fails, the unit automatically switches to the secondary input in 20 milliseconds or less, while the inverter simultaneously takes over to maintain power to critical loads. The entire process occurs without any manual cable swapping or external transfer switches.
In short: connect once, and never worry about unplugging shore power in the middle of the night again.
20 ms Uninterrupted Transfer - UPS-Grade Protection
Should the shore supply drop out, the generator stall, or the primary AC source become unstable, the internal inverter takes over the load within 20 milliseconds. This rapid transfer is fast enough to keep computers, network equipment, controllers, and other sensitive electronics running without reset or data loss.
Full 120/240V Split-Phase Support
North American RV distribution systems use 50A 120/240V Split-Phase power - two hot lines (L1 and L2) 180° out of phase, together delivering 240V. The Quattro-II 2x120V fully accepts and transmits both legs of a 120/240V Split-Phase supply. Whether connected to a true Split-Phase source or a single-phase 120V feed, both sides of the distribution panel receive stable 120V.
Important note: 240V output is available only when a genuine Split-Phase AC source is connected. In inverter mode (i.e., when shore power is absent), the unit provides 120V only - preventing high-power 240V appliances such as water heaters or air conditioners from inadvertently starting on battery power. This is a deliberate safety design, not a limitation.
Dual AC Outputs - Separate Management of Critical and Non-Critical Loads
The Quattro-II 2x120V provides two independent AC outputs:
AC-Out-1 (Main output): Supports all functions - inverter supply, mains passthrough, and PowerAssist - ensuring continuous power to essential loads.
AC-Out-2 (Auxiliary output): Configurable to supply power only under specific conditions - for example, only when shore power is available, or to be switched off in inverter mode. This is ideal for managing large but non-critical loads such as water heaters or air conditioning units.
This split-output design lets users allocate power according to load priority, extending battery runtime when off-grid.
Parallel and Multi-Phase Configurations - Scalable from One RV to One House
A single Quattro-II 2x120V delivers 3000VA continuous output. If more capacity is needed, up to six units can be paralleled via the VE.Bus system, with total power scaling linearly. The system also supports three-phase arrangements, making it suitable for larger off-grid homes or backup power installations. The same product line can start with a single unit and grow as system demands increase.
Remote Monitoring and Centralised Management
By connecting a GX device (e.g., Cerbo GX), users can monitor and control the Quattro-II and its associated system locally over LAN or remotely via the internet. The free VRM mobile app and VRM web portal provide access from smartphones, tablets, laptops, or desktop computers - enabling real-time data viewing, parameter adjustments, and even automatic start/stop conditions for a backup generator, all from anywhere.
Battery Compatibility and Smart Management
The Quattro-II 2x120V is compatible with LiFePO₄ lithium batteries as well as all traditional battery technologies. An internal battery temperature sensor is included, and the programmable relay can communicate directly with lithium BMS systems - automating charge/discharge management, overtemperature protection, and lowvoltage disconnect. Charging voltage profiles are fully configurable via VE.Bus to match different battery manufacturer requirements.
Comprehensive Protection
The unit incorporates full protection against output short circuits, overload, battery over-voltage, battery under-voltage, over-temperature, inverter output AC faults, and excessive input voltage ripple. These safeguards ensure reliable operation under demanding conditions and protect both the unit and connected equipment.
