Quattro-II - Dual-Input Inverter/Charger for Demanding Off-Grid, Marine, and Backup Power Applications,QUA242505010

About this product
Similar to the MultiPlus-II, the Quattro-II is a combined inverter and charger. What sets it apart is its ability to accept two independent AC inputs and automatically connect to the active source. Its many features include a true sine wave inverter, adaptive charging, hybrid PowerAssist technology, plus multiple system integration features such as three-phase, split-phase, and parallel operation. Available in 24V and 48V models at 5000VA.
Two AC Inputs - Automatic and Uninterruptible Switching
The Quattro-II can be connected to two independent AC sources - for example, the utility grid and a generator, or two generators. The unit automatically connects to the active source. If voltage is present on both inputs, the Quattro-II selects the primary input according to user-defined priority settings.
In the event of a supply failure or when the primary source is disconnected, the Quattro-II switches to inverter operation within 20 milliseconds or less. This rapid transfer is fast enough that computers, network equipment, and other sensitive electronics continue to operate without interruption - delivering true UPS-grade protection.
PowerControl & PowerAssist - Intelligent Load Management
Similar to the MultiPlus-II, the Quattro-II is also a combined inverter and charger. Additionally it can accept two AC inputs and automatically connect to the active source. Its many features include a true sine wave inverter, adaptive charging, hybrid PowerAssist technology plus multiple system integration features such as three or split phase operation and parallel operation
About this product
The user can set a maximum input current limit for the generator or shore connection. The Quattro-II then accounts for other AC loads and uses any remaining current for battery charging, preventing overload of the generator or grid (PowerControl function).
PowerAssist takes the PowerControl principle to the next level. When peak power is required frequently but only for short periods, the Quattro-II compensates for insufficient generator, shore, or grid power with energy drawn from the battery. When the load subsides, the excess energy is used to recharge the battery. This enables the Quattro-II to handle peak loads well beyond the capacity of the connected AC source, without tripping breakers or overloading the generator.
Two AC Outputs
The main output is uninterruptible. The Quattro-II powers connected loads in the event of a grid failure or when generator/shore power is disconnected. This transfer occurs so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment continue to run without disruption.
The second output is active only when AC is available at the input. Loads that should not discharge the battery - such as a water heater - can be connected to this output. This allows critical loads to remain powered from the battery during outages while non-essential high-power loads are automatically shed.
Solar Energy Integration
The Quattro-II can be used in both off-grid systems and grid-connected PV systems, as well as other alternative energy installations. It is compatible with solar charge controllers and grid-tied inverters. This makes it a versatile core component for hybrid energy systems that combine solar, battery storage, and multiple AC sources.
Parallel and Three-Phase Operation
Up to six Quattro-II units can be operated in parallel to achieve higher output power. For example, six 48/5000/70 units deliver 25 kW / 30 kVA of output power with 420 Amps of charging capacity.
In addition to parallel connection, three units of the same model can be configured for three-phase output. Up to six sets of three units can be paralleled per phase, yielding a 75 kW / 90 kVA inverter system with over 1200 Amps of charging capacity. This scalability makes the Quattro-II suitable for everything from a single RV or boat to large off-grid homes and commercial installations.
On-Site Configuration, Monitoring, and Control
Settings can be modified in minutes using VEConfigure software (requiring a computer or laptop and an MK3-USB interface). A wide range of monitoring and control options is available: Cerbo GX, Color Control GX, Venus GX, Octo GX, CANvu GX, laptop, computer, Bluetooth (with the optional VE.Bus Smart Dongle), Battery Monitor, and the Digital Multi Control panel.
Remote Configuration and Monitoring
Install a Cerbo GX or another GX product for internet connectivity. Operational data can be stored and viewed free of charge on the VRM (Victron Remote Management) portal. When connected to the internet, remote system configuration, firmware updates, and real-time monitoring are all possible from anywhere in the world.
Battery Compatibility and Smart Management
The Quattro-II is compatible with LiFePO₄ lithium batteries as well as various other battery technologies. The programmable relay can be configured for general alarm, DC under-voltage, or genset start/stop functions, and can be used to communicate with a Lithium-Ion battery BMS. An internal battery temperature sensor is included for temperature-compensated charging.
Comprehensive Protection
The unit incorporates full protection against output short circuits, overload, battery over-voltage, battery under-voltage, over-temperature, AC on inverter output, and excessive input voltage ripple. These safeguards ensure reliable operation under demanding conditions and protect both the unit and connected equipment.

Tailored System Solution - Wysher × Victron Energy for Demanding Applications
The Quattro-II is not a one-size-fits-all device. Its dual AC inputs, 5000VA continuous output, and ability to parallel up to six units make it the natural choice for installations where power availability, redundancy, and scalability are critical. Typical applications include:
Large recreational vehicles (Class A motorhomes and fifth-wheel trailers) that rely on both shore power and an onboard generator, with automatic failover and seamless transfer.
Off-grid homes and remote cabins that need to switch between a backup generator and a limited utility feed, while maximising solar self-consumption through integrated MPPT chargers.
Marine installations on yachts and workboats, where dual shore cords or a generator-plus-shore setup are common, and reliable UPS-grade transfer is essential for navigation and communication equipment.
Backup power systems for workshops, small businesses, or telecom shelters, where UPS-grade transfer and the ability to parallel multiple units for scalable capacity are essential.
Based on the Victron Energy architecture, Wysher integrates Quattro-II inverter/chargers with LiFePO₄ battery banks, MPPT solar charge controllers, and GX monitoring devices to deliver a complete, intelligent energy solution. Through careful system engineering, we ensure:
✓ Seamless automatic switching between AC sources, leveraging the Quattro-II's dual-input design
✓ Dynamic load sharing via PowerAssist to prevent source overload
✓ Optimised battery charging with temperature compensation and BMS communication
✓ Scalability from a single unit to parallel or three-phase configurations as needs grow
✓ Full remote visibility and control via VRM, enabling proactive management and generator auto-start
